How it works…
Use the RFI tool to issue and track Requests for Information on your project
Hold the team accountable for response times
Export log details to a spreadsheet.
Search by keyword or use the various filters to find the right RFI quickly.
To issue a new RFI
Select Issue a New RFI in the bottom right corner.
Fill in the form fields as necessary and add attachments such as marked up plans or photos. Select Review Draft.
If everything looks good, select Submit to send out your RFI. The people you issued or copied the RFI to will receive an email, a PDF and a message in Fluid letting them know that an RFI has been received.
To Respond to an RFI
Access the RFI Log, or follow the link sent to you in the email from Fluid CM and select the RFI that you want to respond to.
Under the Response field – identify your response.
Selecting Save and Send will post your response in the system and email the response to the team.
Selecting Close will change the status on the RFI from Open to Closed. Only users with Administrative rights can close RFIs.
You can also select Void RFI to identify the status as void.
The comments section is for allowing other people to review the RFI and comment, tracking the information along the way. Note that there can be only one official response.
Changing the RFI Prefix
You can manually adjust the RFI prefix by selecting Set Numbering Format.
Identify what you want to appear before the RFI number. In this case, we chose to identify prebid RFIs. When the bid period is over we reset the RFI Prefix to a blank state.
Downloading the RFI Log in a spreadsheet format
From the RFI Log screen, select Export RFI Log. The file will download to your browsers downloads file, and you can open it using any spreadsheet program.
Using the Filters
You can quickly filter out RFIs by any of the fields in the RFI. To do so, select the Filter RFIs by menu and select the filter that you would like to use to hone in on.
