How it works…
Use the Submittal Tool to allow your team to upload and share submittals via the cloud.
Track whose Ball-in-Court (BIC) to keep people accountable.
Issue email Reminders with the press of a button.
Quickly filter or download as a spreadsheet to get the information you need.
To Create a New Submittal
Select the Issue a New Submittal button at the bottom of the screen.
Fill in the form fields. Include uploading any attachments such as cut sheets, or photos of the product. Select review and send.
If everything looks good, select Looks Good, Send for Review. If not, select Go back to make some changes. An email will be sent to the reviewer and the log will be updated automatically.
Reviewing a Submittal
Go to the Submittal that you are reviewing by following gthe link in the email or accessing via the log.
Download the attachments and review for conformity with the contract documents. Add comments identifying that you reviewed the submittal and any notes you may want to track.
You can attach marked up submittals, or any other changes that need to be addressed.
Select one of the four options to process the Submittal:
Forward: Allows you to send the Submittal to someone else to review and comment on. For instance, if you have a Construction Manager involved,
they may want to review the submittal before it goes to the architect for review.
Respond as Rejected: This sends a message back to the submitter and updates the submittal log as the submittal being rejected. Be sure to
remember to include some comments as to why the submittal is being rejected.
Respond as Revise & Resubmit: This means some items were not addressed, missing or detail needs to be added before anything can be approved.
In each case, a message is sent to the person that submitted the documents and the submittal log is automatically updated. The History record at the bottom
will track how the submittal is being moved forward.
Manually Updating the Status or Details of a Submittal
A user with Administrative permissions will have the option to select the pencil icon, go in and update a submittal manually. Select the pencil icon, make the changes to
the submittal and select Review and Send to send out and post the updated submittal in the system.
